As I mentioned last week, my good friend Sarah Box and I styled each other for a fun shoot with our husbands in Vail. Here’s a couple of my favorites of Brian and I photographed by Sarah. Sarah has become a dear friend to me– we are both photographers and she assisted me at quite a few weddings this year. I spent a lot of time with Sarah this past wedding season– I am fairly certain we clocked 40+ hours in the car together driving to weddings, let alone the 100+ hours of shooting weddings together. She is sweet, reliable, hardworking, and charming! I loved getting to know Sarah this past summer and consider her one of my closest friends.
Now that wedding season has slowed down a bit, we headed up to Vail for the weekend with our husbands…. we went antiquing, ate too much food, took the snowshoes out for a snowy stroll, and hit the ski slopes. We also styled each other for a little photo shoot. These are pictures of Sarah and her amazing husband, JP! Stay tuned, because later I will post some of the images from Sarah styling Brian and I!

Here’s part II of Candice and Matt…. I love how it has a completely different look and feel from the first part of their shoot. And both backdrops were just 1 mile apart– the fun part about shooting in an urban location.
Candice and Matt are two special people– I have known Candice for several years and think of her as a true leader. She’s not only a leader in a more obvious professional sense, but also a leader in a personal sense…. she’s inspirational, creative, and someone that I look up to!
And from the time I have spent with Matt, he might just be the nicest guy ever. Seriously so sweet. He asked me the most thoughtful questions about my life as a photographer and was so interested to hear about the technical side of my job. And he adores his wife– you can tell he would go to the moon and back for Candice.
Together they are a perfect team- their cheerful personalities are infectious and being around these two for just a little bit of time, you can’t help but leave happy.
Kathryn is one of my photography friends- our Denver wedding photography community is close-knit and I always love getting together with the girls to chat all things photo-related! Kathryn is quite the accomplished photographer with the sweetest personality! She asked me a few months ago if I would take some holiday photos of her and her husband, Perry, and of course I said yes. I often shoot in nature, but these two were looking for something more urban. And it was fun to switch it up a bit! Love her sparkly dress and how chic they look together as a couple.

Brian and I had the pleasure of staying with our good friends Andrea and Troy when we went to visit Hong Kong. They welcomed us in their home and their precious girls, Isabella and Karina, showered us with love and kisses.
One warm evening, we headed out to the beach that is literally in their backyard- yes, how I want this in my backyard too!
Hong Kong can be at times insane- full of color, people, skyscrapers, movement, and energy. But there are little pockets of tranquility that serve as refuge from the chaos in the center of the city. This is that refuge. A perfect tranquility.
