Valerie + Joe : Denver Engagement Photography

A gray winter day turned into a sunny afternoon for our shoot. I loved chatting with Valerie and Joe about their wedding plans, travel, architecture, and work. SO excited for their Montana wedding in September. Congrats you two!:)

Happy Valentine’s

Below is a special Valentine’s engagement shoot, featuring two people I love!  My sister and my future brother-in-law.  Erin and Andy.  We headed up to Steamboat Springs one snowy weekend for a romantic horse drawn carriage ride.  The shoot took place just outside of Steamboat Springs at the Hahn’s Peak Road House.  They have two beautiful (and huge) white horses that draw a wooden sleigh through the snow.  The perfect winter-getaway spot.

Candice + Matt: Downtown Denver, Part II

Here’s part II of Candice and Matt…. I love how it has a completely different look and feel from the first part of their shoot.  And both backdrops were just 1 mile apart– the fun part about shooting in an urban location.

Candice and Matt are two special people– I have known Candice for several years and think of her as a true leader.  She’s not only a leader in a more obvious professional sense, but also a leader in a personal sense…. she’s inspirational, creative, and someone that I look up to!:)

And from the time I have spent with Matt, he might just be the nicest guy ever.  Seriously so sweet.  He asked me the most thoughtful questions about my life as a photographer and was so interested to hear about the technical side of my job.  And he adores his wife– you can tell he would go to the moon and back for Candice.

Together they are a perfect team- their cheerful personalities are infectious and being around these two for just a little bit of time, you can’t help but leave happy.

Kara + Jay : Colorado Springs Engagement Photography

Last weekend I headed down to Colorado Springs to Jay’s family cabin in the mountains. They chose that spot for their engagement photos because it has been a special get-away. And it was just perfect! I also love how Kara chose a few vintage pieces to wear in the engagement shoot too– these two definitely have style.

The 50 year old cabin is filled with fond memories and I loved documenting their engagement at such a sentimental place. Thanks Kara and Jay for inviting me and CONGRATULATIONS on such an exciting time in your lives. So happy for you!
